Mandy Noack has started an event on Facebook.
Unfortunately Facebook has changed the way events are managed and the event was created ‘Private’ and can’t be changed, so we will endeavour to mirror what is happening on this page. (The event page has had several name changes and other attempts at becoming public but it still isn’t working (public)

UPDATE ON FUNDS RAISED
Hi everyone,
I would just like to give everyone a bit of an update on the funds raised so far!
This is based on a couple of businesses making donations, 10 raffle books sold and returned and shirt sales.
As of right now we have a donation of $1,060
This will grow as we have a lot of raffle books to come in and collection boxes to tally up.
I also ordered a couple extra shirts, so if you know anyone who is still interested in participating but thought they missed out please let them know!!
Thanks
Mandy
30th Jan
Walking to Robertstown to raise money for drought affected farmers in Queensland for Hay, funds raised will be donated to The Rotary Club of Sydney who will forward onto the burrumbuttock hay runners ( they have a Facebook page so you can like them and see what they do!!)
Transport will be arranged from Robertstown to Point Pass for all participants, but we need to know numbers!!
Registration Fee $30 (Adults – over 16) – includes polo shirt + $10 donation to Rotary. I have also incorporated $4 to help cover the cost of liability insurance which I have been advised that we will need, I’m trying to get sponsorship for the insurance so if that happens the donation to rotary will go up to $14 per person.
Entry fee is required in full by 10th February.
Contact Mandy Noack on 0419189952 or message her via Facebook.
If you have kids that want to do the walk there is no fee, if you want to get them a shirt let me know so I can make sure they have kids sizes 🙂
If you have any friends keen on participating for this cause please also invite them and spread the word!!
Keep an eye out for the Collection Boxes.
There is already a great enthusiasm for the event with many signing up, and offering donations for a raffle and Jed Dunstan has donated a great cartoon to help promote the event (above).
The more the merrier to join or donate will see more aid that can be raised.
Starting at Point Pass participants will Walk to Robertstown to raise money for drought affected farmers in Queensland for Hay.
There will be an entry fee which will include a polo and the remainder will be a donation direct to the cause.
Mandy will update with the entry fee and other details ASAP
If you have any friends keen on participating for this cause please also invite them and spread the word!!
The funds raised will be donated to The Rotary Club of Sydney (who have the facilities to collect donations – more details soon) and they will forward onto the “Burrumbuttock Hay Runners” to turn those donations into help for the farmers.

Also check out this article in the Southern Weekly newspaper from thier record breaking run in Jan 2016 where a massive convoy of 125 trucks completed a 1860km journey to deliver 5,000 bales of hay to the most drought affected parts of western Queensland. (a great story – so Australian!).
