“POPULAR NIGHT BOWLS IN EUDUNDA”

The Night Bowls series is up and running with three weeks of entertainment and high jinks together with some bowling by the fourteen teams entered this year.

The Bowling Club and Night Bowl Committee are pleased many new faces playing lawn bowls in a relaxed, social atmosphere. The game attracts people of all ages to enjoy the beautiful greens prepared by green-keeper George, the camaraderie of the game and the supper and bar facilities afterwards.

Last Thursday night the bowlers were treated to fine weather. New bowlers are getting on the green – Neil Valderemao, Belinda McDonnell, Jamie and Dylan Van Den Ham playing with Kerry Voigt and Karl Milde, David and Michelle Booth are playing in Steve Turner’s team and were thrilled to have a win; Alison Schutz played in her son Henry’s team, James Sander played in his son Luke’s team, the boisterous Buschutz team have joined in the fun this year, and Amon and Malin Petersen from Germany are playing lawn bowls (rather than bocce) while back-packing with work visas across Australia -they are working on John and Nicole Milde’s farm at present. Ted Schiller has come ‘out of Africa’ back onto the green.”
