The Eudunda Oval provided the venue for Nathan Whippy Griggs to bring his lively entertainment to our region on the evening of the 1st January 2025. What a great and unique way to start off a New Year!
Nathan describes himself as a professional whip cracking entertainer and whip maker and is not only Australia’s number 1 whip cracking entertainer, he is a five time whip cracking Guinness world record holder!
Young and old came equiped with seats and blankets for a casual evening of entertainment. Young families made up a good percentage of the audience enjoying the evening. It was great to see the younger children enjoying ‘boot scooting’ and even some ‘break dance’ while Nathan whipped up a beat to the music.
As darkness crept in, Nathan lit up his dual ‘Flaming Whips’ to make a spectacular display, whipping to the music, certainly something you don’t see every day.
Nathan has spent the last 10 years touring around Australia, bringing his brand of entertainment to many places where residents have less opportunity to enjoy such entertainment. He relies on his hat being passed around and sales of his whips and accessories to survive and continue bringing his unique entertainment to the country.
The Eudunda Sporting Club provided the canteen for the evening, and there was a big shout out to volunteers Ben and Alison Schutz, Shane and Chantel Schutz, Kathy Handke, Scott Heidrich, Kym Schutz, Johnno and Sonya Mosey, Jack Mosey, Gus Handke and Michael Zerner.
