The Barossa and Mid North Region will come together for various fundraising efforts to help the fire victims of the devastating Pinery Bushfire, which sadly claimed 2 lives and injured many more.
The Advertiser reported on the 1st Dec that at last count, the Pinery bushfire has destroyed 87 homes, 388 sheds and outbuildings, 98 vehicles, 93 pieces of farm machinery, and a shocking number livestock including 53,600 poultry, 17,000 sheep, 500 pigs, 87 cattle, 19 horses and three alpaca.
Many people have donated very quickly, including farmers from Eyre Peninsular with semi loads of hay for the animals that did survive. Our local farmers have been there to help out too in many ways.
One of the fundraisers was started by local Singer Songwriter Mike Roberts. Pretty soon he had support from the Kapunda Harness Racing Club for a venue and the Kapunda Business Alliance for support. With Mike’s connections in the music industry he has gained the support of an amazing array of top quality artists to perform at the concert.
This is the flier for the concert. If you can make it that would be great, and please pass the message along.
