Grand Opening – Clare – 5th May 2018
South Australian Recreation Trails Incorporated (SARTI), who has been responsible for this project, believe that the trail will be well worth the effort & the wait by those wishing to walk it!
21 years ago in 1997, a group of walkers realized the potential of a long distance walking trail on the eastern side of the Mt Lofty Ranges in South Australia. From that interest the ‘Lavender Federation Trail’ was conceived and this trail, 325 km long, runs from Murray Bridge on the Murray River to Clare and connects with almost 100 km of link & loop trails to nearby towns & attractions through the Barossa & mid north.
The official Opening will be by Hon. Geoff Brock MP.
Eudunda’s own Mike Roberts will be entertaining while you eat.
(check out Mike’s new venue – “The Barn at Wombat Flat“)
All welcome to come and celebrate. There will be organised walks on the day, food, drink, various information from walking groups and businesses.
