A public meeting was held in the Eudunda Hall on the 8th October, convened by Mary Morris and Penny Pratt MP Member for Frome, to discuss the proposed Northern Transmission Project and its routes. Tony Piccolo MP for Light was also in attendance.

Eudunda and Mid North Districts NTx Community Response Survey has been circulating since 8 October. The result
We have had 298 responses to our community survey designed to capture community views for a Combined Community Response.
293 were strongly opposed. Strong feelings are evident.
A subcommittee has been formed to colate and write submissions to Electranet and Council on the responses. ElectraNet was invited but declined.
Following this Community led town hall meetings were held in Marrabel 19 October and Riverton 22 October. ElectraNet declined invitations to these meetings as well.
A committee has been formed with reps from all 4 corridors and is liaising with Penny, Tony and Grain Producers SA.
A fifth corridor has been proposed by this committee out East outside of Goyder’s Line to minimise the intrusion into property values, high amenity landscapes, hamlets, closely settled areas, tourism assets and cropping land. Conflicts with Precision Agriculture technology, future drone technology, hazards from increasing size of farm machinery.
