Pool to extend operations to the 19th March
“Eudunda Be Active” and general swimming have times extended – marginally.
The Council have extended the days the pool will be open by a few extra days,
to allow the girls to open right up to the next Council meeting where a decision will be made,
on if the pool can remain open a bit longer (days) this year.
There are perhaps a couple ways that you can personally help keep the pool open longer during the year:
- Most important – Come to the pool and use it! – Its only $2.00 for a normal swim. (special sessions may be more)
- Like the Facebook page (if you are on facebook).
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Eudunda-Swimming-Pool/529806270386659 - If you are really passionate, then talk to your local Councillors and tell them you want the pool to operate longer during the year. (be nice)
- If you are really passionate, then you may also write to your local council (The Regional Council of Goyder) and tell them you want the pool to operate longer during the year. (be nice, and get it away quick so it might make the next council meeting)
- If you are really passionate, you may even consider writing to the ‘Letters to the Editor’ of your local newspapers (2) and express your concerns. (be nice – and get it away quick so it might make the next council meeting).
Normal swimming starts at 3pm.
Come along and support the pool and get fit at the same time.

Eudunda Swimming Pool Manager Leslie Garlic is thrilled with the new facilities at the Eudunda Swimming Pool.
Many people are taking advantage of the pool and the brand new facilities, especially on hot days where we have had over a 100 plus come to enjoy a cool down. We have still had good numbers on cooler days now that people know we have a ‘heated’ pool.
The annual swim programs such as the Royal Life Saving Programme had a good attendance too.
Survey of needs
We have had people ask about swimming laps in the morning, and an older group would like access when the kids are not there. As well Mums who wish to have a swim outside normal hours.
An Aqua-aerobics instructor is keen to develop some sessions at the pool and we are looking at how the gymnasium can be used and several instructors/trainers have indicated they might be interested in using the new facilities.
With this in mind
we are conducting a survey with forms at the
Eudunda Post Office and here at the Pool.
“The swimming pool now has a phone number and I can also be contacted by mobile
If you haven’t been to see the pool yet, come on down and have a look – and why not bring your swim gear to test it out.
8th Dec. 2012 – Eudunda Swimming Pool Staff about to open the door to the Public on the First Day of the season.
This was also the first day the public would get to see the new swimming complex.
